Divethru Guided Journaling App

The past two weeks I’ve had the privilege to try out the app Divethru. It’s a guided journal app that helps you Divethru what you go thru. The Divethru team works with mental health professionals to create guided journaling exercises to help users take charge of their mental wellbeing.

I was approached by the team a couple weeks ago and I wanted to make sure I had a good grasp of the app before I decided to promote it and talk about it here and on my instagram page. I take these decisions very seriously because I will never promote a product, service, or company I don’t like just for the sake of a partnership.

Based on the app description, I was optimistic about it because I love guided apps. I struggle with wandering thoughts and I’m not the type of person that can just sit and journal for awhile, but if I’m following a guide I do a lot better. Plus, everything found in the app is made by mental health professionals!

This is how it works:

  • Once you download and open the app, you’ll answer a few questions to customize your feed

  • The app will guide you through their method and then you decide where to go from there

  • You can select quick dives as short as 6 minutes if you need an immediate, quick journaling session, or you can select deep dives which are 14 days of daily prompts

  • The topics range from career changes, to loneliness, to relationship problems, and so much more

  • You select your feelings about the subject from a dropdown menu that includes everything from overwhelm, to excitement to sadness

  • Then you follow the app’s guidance and begin!

  • Once you’re done with your journal sesh, you read what you wrote and summarize your entry in the app to reflect on your session

  • To finish, you select how you’re feeling after you’re done (better, worse, the same) and you’re all set

I love this app for so many reasons! I found the guided prompts really helpful for directing how I needed to express my thoughts, I love that you can do very short sessions as well as longer ones to keep yourself accountable, and I love that it forces me to sit and be still with my thoughts for a bit! I really enjoyed using this app and I absolutely plan to continue using it going forward!

Lastly, DiveThru will also be launching their 30 day self-care challenge that will help you give yourself the self-love that you deserve! There will be daily journaling prompts and self care goodie giveaway, everyday for 30 days! The challenge launches on July 13th and you can sign up for the challenge with this link: http://divethru.com/challenge. Hope to have you on board!
